Alkali Metals Ltd., was established in April 1968 to manufacture Sodium Metal and down stream chemicals in its plant at Hyderabad, India.

Expertise: Expertise in the production of hazardous chemicals like Alkali Metals, AlkaliMetalamides, Alkoxides and Organo Metallic products, Sodium Hydride, Amino Pyridines, Pyridine Derivatives and Tetrazoles.

Specialised Reactions: Facility available for carrying-out specialized reactions like Nitration, Diazotisation, Chlorination, Bromination, N-oxidation, Reduction, Chichibabin, Organo Metallics, Cyclisation.

Custom Synthesis & Contract Manufacture: Fully integrated facilities to meet custom synthesis requirement or contract manufacture, in complete confidentiality from process research to development and manufacturing. Our core strength is in identification, development and optimisation of technology on industrial scale in a short lead time. Products and process development is a continuing exercise. The company has on hand several products for custom synthesis or contract manufacture from companies in USA, Germany, Italy, Japan etc.

Safety: Safety Procedures and regulations are regularly updated, verified and followed to maintain the highest safety standards. All employees are trained and motivated to maintain utmost safety.

Environment: All wastes and emissions are regularly and carefully monitored and controlled with due attention in process development to minimise environmental impact.

Quality Assurance: Quality Assurance is a company wide activity involving all departments, plants and individuals. Quality assurance department oversees process control, stability testing, process validation and impurity profiles. Also develops company standards to achieve products of consistently high quality. Computer aided quality information system records flow of goods from raw materials to end product and compiles information on quality related activities.

Certification: ISO 9001:2000, ISO 9002 certification was obtained in the year 1995. Quality system is upgraded to 9001:2000 version in the year 2002. BVQI, certifying body conducts surveillance audits every six months and re-certification audits every three years.

ISO 14001: ISO 14001 certification was obtained in the year 2000.BVQI, certifying body conducts surveillance audits every six months and re-certification audits every three years.

Export House: ”Export House” recognition was obtained in the year 2002 from Director General of Foreign Trade, Government of India.

Supplier Audits: Supplier audits are carried out by customers from USA, Europe and Japan. Such audits have been carried out by Dupont, Lonza, Sumitomo Chemicals, Clariant to name a few clientele.

International Exhibitions: The Company has been participating in international exhibitions such as CPhI, Chemspec, PhiUS, Informex at various venues. The organization has built up a reputation as a Quality driven fine chemicals producer.

International Exports (Products): Products are being Exported to Countries like Argentina, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Japan, Switzerland, UK, USA and Taiwan.

Employed Funds: The Company has employed funds worth 20Million USD at their Manufacturing facilities.
