General Auto Spares Company (GASCO) was established in the year 1971 by a group of enterprising technocrat entrepreneurs under the leadership of Mr.C Venkataraman as General Asbestos Company. The group pooled in their experience and know-how in friction material technology to build the enterprise. Mr. Venkataraman had a vision to build a customer centric enterprise in an era when the Indian Economy was a sellers market. He gave up a successful career as a development engineer, which spanned over reputed corporations like HAL, Ashok Leyland, Rane Madras and Rane Brake Linings to fulfill his vision.
After 35 long years the legacy imbibed by the founder continues to thrive at GASCO, which serves its customers in India and abroad with precision engineered quality friction products. The Management at GASCO is highly responsive to customer needs and is geared to meet the constantly evolving needs of the customers inherent in a technologically dynamic world.
