BHEL offers turnkey solutions for Desalination Plants (from raw water sourcing to the delivery of product/process water) and supplies Desalination plants of any capacity for both drinking and industrial water requirements. BHEL has built small, medium & large capacity plants and 40 such plants are currently in operation throughout the country. BHEL has executed one-million gallons per day. Reverse Osmosis based open sea intake desalination plant for the first time in India on turnkey basis and currently doing the complete O&M since 1999.
BHEL has the capability to adopt Reverse Osmosis or Thermal technology depending upon the requirement to treat bore well, surface and seawater using world class membranes manufactured by leading suppliers, both spiral wound and hollow fine fibre membranes and the-state-of-the-art technology is being continuously upgraded in its fully equipped R&D facilities and laboratory.
BHEL is having a team of qualified and experienced technical personnel for design, erection, commissioning, operation and maintenance. It also imparts, a high quality of in-house/on the spot training to the operating personnel.
BHEL undertakes operation & maintenance of the Reverse Osmosis based Desalination Plants and provides all the spares including membranes for uninterrupted operation of the plants. BHEL is having a self-contained truck mounted mobile desalination plant for testing any type of water and supply drinking water to any remote location/village. These mobile plants can be custom built by us to suite customer requirements.
