For optimum vitamin-mineral supplementation.
Actions : Calron provides supplementation of vitamins and minerals as desired in many special circumstances e.g. in elderly patients with chronic disease, for persons on low calorie diets, during pregnancy and lactation, in hypermetabolic conditions with pyrexial disease, with chronic usage of drugs like antitubercular, anticancer, contraceptives, etc. The supplementation of minerals like iron, calcium and vitamins are essential for maintaining certain body functions and gearing up the basic metabolic activities of the body, and in turn the individual becomes energetic active and develops a sense of well being.
Indications : Calron is indicated for prophylactic nutritional supplementation in physiologically stressful conditions. These comprise
(a) conditions causing reduced absorption or depletion of essential vitamins and minerals-inadequate intake due to reduced low calorie diets, anorexia or unbalanced diets; gastrointestinal disorders, chronic alcoholism, febrile illness, chronic diseases, chronic therapy with drugs like antibacterials, contraceptives, anticancer or other interfering agents,
(b) conditions resulting in increased use of essential vitamins and minerals-recovery from surgery or trauma involving burns, fractures or other extensive tissue damages, pregnancy & menorrhagia.
Side effects : Cyclovarin is usually without any side effects. Only, in some instances, there may be some abdominal discomfort, which can be overcome with any antacid.
Dose : 10 ml twice daily after meals or, as directed by the physician.
