Description :
Magnesium is an important constituent of the chlorophyll molecule without which photosynthesis cannot occur. It is required by the enzymes involved in carbohydrate metabolism and respiration.
Magnesium deficiencies occur in areas of heavy rainfall, in wet seasons and in light acidic soils. These deficiencies may occur due to loss in percolating water, absorption by living organisms and fixation on surrounding clay material.
Deficiency leads to chlorosis of leaves. The yellowing of leaves starts from the base of the plant and proceeds upwards. Crops that are affected are rice, wheat, tobacco, maize, cotton, sugarcane and chillies.
Bhagya Mag contains Magnesium EDTA in the pure form and can correct magnesium deficiencies in crops very easily. It is completely soluble in water, absorbed completely by plants and makes plants more resistant to pests and disease. A foliar spray of 1 gram/litre solution on crops after obtaining sufficient foliage is recommended to correct all normally occurring deficiencies. Exact dosage depends on the plant health and local soil conditions.
