Zinc is essential for synthesis of important growth hormones. It influences chlorophyll formation, photosynthesis and other metabolic processes.
Primarily zinc deficiencies occur where there is prolonged use of phosphate fertilizers, heavy liming etc. Zinc deficiencies cause yellowing or chlorosis of leaves and leaf molting. Apart from all this, leaves become smaller in size, distorted in shape, twisted in appearance and may be clustered in small branches (little leaf disease).
The yield of many crops can be depressed due to zinc deficiencies without showing any visual symptoms. Crops that are generally affected are rice, wheat, citrus, vegetables, sugarcane, cotton, sorghum, maize etc.
Zinc deficiencies can be easily rectified by spraying Bhagya Zinc directly on the leaves. As Zinc is totally chelated in Bhagya Zinc, it gives excellent results in very small dosages.
A foliar spray of 1gm/litre concentration solution on crops after obtaining sufficient foliage is recommended to correct all normally occurring deficiencies. Zinc deficiencies can also be corrected while preparing the soil, by mixing 500 gms of Bhagya Zinc per acre . Exact dosage depends on the plant health and local soil conditions.
