BHEL manufactures rechargeable portable lantern system conforming to the specifications issued by the Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources, Government of India. The continuous on-line quality checks of all materials, components and sub-assemblies has assured inverter efficiency of more then 80% at 12V under normal conditions.
Portable lanterns are user friendly, portable, easy to operate, compact and attractive in design. They are easy to assemble and dismantle distributing light all round and charges in 4 hours on sunny day.
Some optional facility available include a battery voltage of 6V or 12V; CFL lamp with a 5W or 7W with 2 pin or 4 pin socket; duel charging facility from AC main without change over switch; constant voltage charging on AC mode; DC emergency facility for automatic switch-on facility at dusk.
